Old Stars

Another card I did a long time ago; I'm still working on The Comic, so fresh drawings are scarce.

The Neighbourgoods Market was good. I sold enough, and bought enough (flowers, artichokes, turkish delight). Heather has some photos of the market on her blog.

Jester? Rabbit?

This toy was knitted using circulars and magic loop, and Turkish Cast-On. This is like Figure 8 cast-on, but much, much easier to remember and to execute. I found the tutorial here. Arms and legs were also knitted in the round with magic loop - there's so little sewing up to do, and the face can be embroidered before stuffing the doll.

It would've been very quick had I not used 2mm needles.... but the tight gauge means that no stuffing shows through.

Badges

Some designs for badges for the Neighbourgoods market on Saturday. I'm hoping to do a lot more - soon!

Alice

Oops! You can see how old this is by how much the paper has yellowed. Idea and caption by Morgan, drawn by me.

Some new toys

Some new knitted toys. The ears (horns?) on the blue and green ones were done with short-row shaping.

Month of old stuff - Spacebear

As I'm spending the next while working on my comic, I won't have much to put up here. So I'm calling this a month of old stuff and scanning and posting things I've found while tidying my studio (I didn't say I wasn't going to procrastinate about the comic....) This is Spacebear, from a few years ago when I made cards. I couldn't afford to get them printed, so I photocopied them.

DrawingRoom 3 - the show

Here are some shots of the gallery just after we finished hanging the work:
