Isn't she lovely?

My new sewing machine, an Elna 3210! So far, it's great - things like transparent bobbin covers and sharp thread cutters are a complete delight.

And the best way to learn all about your new machine: sew 40 bags to a deadline. Nothing like flipping through the manual at 2 am to get bobbin winding fixed in your memory.

I got an Elna for my christmas when I was 13 and I still love it :)

Congratulations! I have my mother's Elna from the 70's - still works great!

Also - I've been checking out your block printing tutorials (since I've stopped doing it for a while) and found it inspiring. Thanks so much - and your work is beautiful ...

have fun with Elna; I've had mine since I was 21, and she's a very trusty friend (only been serviced once!).

What a beautiful sight!
By the way, I checked Urban at Westville and they don't have your bags. The branch at Gateway is bigger so perhaps they have some of them!

Ooh, I love a new machine. I'm still grumpy over the price of accessories for my Viking. It runs very nicely, but today I paid 3x for bobbins than I would have paid for any other machine! Grrr.

Good luck with the bags!
