Silhouettes

Some drawings from a school book I did a little while ago. It's a book of plays. Figuring out how to convey expression and character using only silhouettes was really fun. It's easier, in a way, than when I'm able to draw in more detail.

Those are awesome! Incredible how less detail often conveys a stronger message.

They are beautiful! And it is amazing what expressions can be conveyed - I can see shyness, thoughtfulness, sassiness, cheekiness, laid-backness ... fantastic!

I have said this before - you are one talented lady! I knew I was not artistic at ALL when I attended a fabric paiting course a few years ago. We had to paint a 3D rose. Mine was flat and remained flat no matter what I did! I was the ONLY person in a class of 12 people who's rose was FLAT!
