I've always wanted one of these! (I think it's a Monty Python thing; hatstands as grappling hooks. To board passing buildings.)
Painting things black is as pleasant as I remember it being when I was 18. Welcome back, gloss enamel - I've missed you. Slapping black paint on doorframes is a lot more relaxing than trying to keep white ones clean.

The Chartered Accountant sketch is one of the funniest.
Oh! I have never thought of black trim. Unfortunately I think my husband is sold on white for now, but maybe someday I can change his mind. Especially with all the dirty little hands we'll have around.
Am also obsessed with those hat/coat stands...been looking for one for what feels like forever. V x
