Sewing by Magic

It looks so simple, doesn't it? All you need is (naked) Tinkerbell and a pair of floating scissors.

Still looks simple for a few pages, and then....

I had no idea there were so many ways to make sleeves!

Or bodices, for that matter.

I love the minimal instructions, and the sure, emphatic blacks, but I don't for a moment believe that some of the stains on these pages aren't from tears of frustration.

The local library also has a copy of this book; theirs has an envelope in the back with actual pattern pieces, though, which mine doesn't have. Wonder if that would make it easier to use?

Love those illustrations!

Just checking that you know about the book called "Design-it-yourself clothes. Pattern making simplified" by Cal Patch? It's fantastic - really well written and very inspirational. I wrote a post on it here a while ago: http://bubalablog.blogspot.com/2010/11/book-love-design-it-yourself-clothes.html
