I love these fruit - and even the taste! But where oh where did you find them in Cape Town? I once tried bringing them back from Vietnam (silly i know but wanted to share the beauty) and they ended up in that exotic and dangerous black bin at the airport, Nikki
Definitely without a doubt the most beautiful fruit in the world! However, all the ones I've eaten in Thailand and Vietnam were gorgeous so maybe you got a dud??? I can't remember them tasting like soap, that's for sure.
Ah, you bought some! I've seen them at the Rosmead Spar as well but I was too afraid to get some (for like R30 or something stupid). At least they look cool. I wonder if they could be used as dye?
the first time i saw a dragon fruit was in taiwan and i insisted that my friend take pictures of me with it! i then cut it open, mine was white inside and it tasted like nothing...nothing at all

Such a beautiful color. I have to say that your post had me laughing out loud over breakfast. Thanks.
Ohh beautiful. But soap-fruit doesn't sound so appetizing.

Wow & Yuck!
Beautiful! I have never heard of this before! Pity about the taste.

I wonder what natures' reason would be for hiding that beautiful colour on the inside?
