Dragon Fruit

Possibly the most beautiful fruit in the world. I was jumping with excitement as it was cut open. I think I squealed when I saw the colour inside.

How terrible, then, that it tastes like soap....

I love these fruit - and even the taste! But where oh where did you find them in Cape Town? I once tried bringing them back from Vietnam (silly i know but wanted to share the beauty) and they ended up in that exotic and dangerous black bin at the airport, Nikki

Nikki - they're from Fruit and Veg City at Willowbridge.

Definitely without a doubt the most beautiful fruit in the world! However, all the ones I've eaten in Thailand and Vietnam were gorgeous so maybe you got a dud??? I can't remember them tasting like soap, that's for sure.

I wonder what natures' reason would be for hiding that beautiful colour on the inside?

Ah, you bought some! I've seen them at the Rosmead Spar as well but I was too afraid to get some (for like R30 or something stupid). At least they look cool. I wonder if they could be used as dye?
