This book by Lena Corwin fell into my lap this weekend, and I spent all of Sunday, when it was too hot to move, lying on the couch reading it. It's every bit as good as I expected. The photos are beautiful, and the instructions are technical without being intimidating. I've learned a bunch of new things. But by far the most inspiring aspect is the cleanness of it all.... the in-progress shots that suggest an ordered studio, one project worked on at a time, without having to climb over things to reach a drying space. Clean clear surfaces, posing no danger of knocking the ink from the last unfinished project over the current one. I know this is probably all styling, and disorder is possibly lurking just out of sight, but it's inspiring nonetheless. That kind of tidiness speaks of clean, clear thought processes.

Ha ha! I know what you mean. My workspace is a mess, try as I might to minimize those unintentional inking accidents. I really should pick up the book, I mean if you're learning many things!
Jesse-the adhesive foam that I was talking about is inspired by this book! So funny that you would mention it now! Also, I took a class with Lena at her studio and it pretty much looks just like it does in the book. And she is incredibly sweet.
I too dream of an uncluttered workspace, with everything at hand but stylishly hidden away in matching boxes, a bit like an Ikea ad. Hmmm. What an inspiring book.

I was given that book last Nov for my birthday and just love it! I must admit my printmaking reality is nothing like the pretty, neat set up on those pages either :)

That looks like a wonderful book. I don't need it, but....
great book, I have a copy I keep looking at longingly every now and again when I am in the mood for printing. You ought to get a copy of 1000 handmade greetings too, very full of ideas!
