That was our mountain yesterday. Luckily very few people were hurt, and no houses were destroyed, although several people had to be evacuated. We slept through the most dramatic part of the fire, completely oblivious.
(I've been sewing so much that when I wanted to hit the shift key just now, my foot searched under the desk for a pedal to press. Weird.)
That was scary....

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about sewing too much. When I was working in costume shops I had a re-occurring dream that straight pins were flying through the sky a la shooting stars.
Fires are horrid aren't they? We've certainly had our share this year. And not only that, we've had 2 earthquakes in the last 2 weeks. Don't know what's going on. And did you see that underwater volcano eruption near Tonga this week? Eeeeeek!
