Introducing Henri Kuikens

I confess, I made him up.

I've been wanting to somehow separate my printed textiles from my illustration work, instead of producing everything under the same name. I played around with words and drew logos, but nothing seemed quite right, until out of the blue it hit me: Henri Kuikens!

You may know them as spider plants, but in Afrikaans they're called Hen-en-Kuikens, and for years I knew them as Henrikuikens. (My mother talks very fast. Words get blurred.)

I still need to update my website with a section for Henri, but perhaps now that there are two us, things will happen faster! Buttons, ribbons, brooches and notebooks are already for sale at Milk in Long Street and The Fringe on Kloof.
