Short pencils might seem like a trivial thing to fret over, but no matter how many I buy, there's always a moment when there are no long ones left in the drawer (and no 24-hour stationery shops that I know of).
So I treated myself to a pencil extender. It's probably the best thing I've ever bought. I got it here.
