New Blocks


Just about ready to be glued to perspex backing blocks.

    I so appreciate you helping people and giving tips. I have been playing with the speedball carving blocks but want to upgrade my lino.

    Is there a brand that you recommend? I like that your blocks are the actual shape of the design. After you cut the design out, what do you use to cut the block into the shape of the design?

    I appreciate your help! Thanks for sharing your amazing designs!

    Thank you!

    I'm afraid I don't know much about brands of lino, as I just use whatever my local art shop sells. I've used a few kinds, and haven't found them hugely different from each other. I suppose the most important thing is being able to buy big enough pieces!

    After cutting the design out, I use a U-gouge to shave the surrounding lino down until it's thin enough to cut with scissors. I find that's the neatest way to do it.
