It's impossible to be unhappy in a poncho. *

The Great Big Secret Thing I referred to yesterday - finished! I'm hoping that the sweater curse doesn't cover ponchos. Should be safe.

Crocheted from a 1978 pattern using Elle Pure New Wool.

* quoting Vince Noir from The Mighty Boosh Season 1.

That poncho is simply gorgeous. I like the geometric designs, and the colors are perfect with it! Just love it, looks like a mexican thing ;) Are you going on vacation?

That is truly, truly spectacular - and must have been a jol to make. It's great to see old patterns being usefully recycled.

What a work of art! And I am still tickled with your knitted face cloths. Besides looking beautiful, they must feel wonderful!

Thank you! Yes, the face cloths do feel great - I'm pretty addicted to them, and suspect that everyone I know will get one as a Christmas present this year.

Ok please tell me where I can find the pattern for this lovely piece!

I'm afraid it's a page torn from a magazine some time in the '70s, and I don't have it any more. It's pretty much a square, increases at the corners, and all done in treble, using DK wool, if that helps.
