You know when you learn a new technique and you just don't want to do anything else? That's how it is with twisted stitches - can't keep my hands off them. Travelling stitches learned for
this pattern (free pattern on Ravelry
here), Lisa R Myers' Travelling Stitch Legwarmers.
Lumpiness due to preknitted wool and no blocking yet - I hope.

now that's what i call legwarmers ;-)
Wow! Those look great!
That is true, the knitting is beautiful, and the legwarmers also.
whew! I'm a little dizzy with all that twisting! it looks fabulous!
Really like both the pattern of stitches and the lovely shade of blue/grey that you've chosen for your leg warmers. BFN.

I love a good pair of legwarmers - not the thin fluffy 80's aerobics type, but solid chunky warmers that would look good peeping over a pair of boots. I once resorted to cutting off the sleeves of a second-hand jersey to try and make a pair - not a very successful venture, as you can imagine. This pattern looks lovely, but a bit too difficult for my limited knitting skills. At the moment I am completely crazy about crocheting granny squares - I am churning them out at a pace - but not sure what I want to do with them - maybe I'll knomple (hahaha!!) them all together and make a blankie, or if I get bored, which is more probable, just a scarf ...
Very nice, but at this stage, it looks too complicated to me! I spent the whole weekend knitting and crocheting to felt some bags and samples of wool yarn I bought last week. They are in the washing machine as we speak, so let's hope they felt!
Not your everyday knitting- so lovely. Impressive, too!
