This is honestly one of the best comics I've ever read. Anything else I say about it will sound too much like fangirl gushing, so just get yourself a copy and read it. (I got mine at The Book Lounge. They have more.)

The interview sounds fascinating - I like what they say about being sick of reading and seeing diluted versions of their reality. I am a great believer in telling one's story oneself. In one's own language. And for far too long has Afrikaans been hogged by one group who sees themselves as the guardians of "correct" Afrikaans. I can't wait to get this - I am hoping that Kalkbay Books will stock it too - I am certainly going to enquire there. Otherwise ... a trip into town to the Book Lounge has been long overdue ...
