Cherub

 This is the final version of the illustration I used as an example in my post about copying. It's for the Big Issue's collector's edition.

The version below is what the drawing looked like when it was finished but not Finished.

It's always great to have enough time to have a cup of tea and squint at a drawing for a bit, once all the essential bits have been filled in. The finished picture shows probably another 40 minutes of work: drawing propped up on one side of my studio, me stepping away to squint, coming back to thicken a line, stepping away again, coming back to tweak a bit more. It's my favourite part.
