I knitted one using 5 dpns, and the other using magic loop; the pattern is written for magic loop, but I didn't have a circular in the right size when I wanted to start, and no shops are open at midnight on Saturdays. The colour was chosen for the same reason.

Magic loop went faster, and with a slightly tighter guage, but left more of a 'run' down the sides, even though the lace pattern accomodates it nicely. Bit of a fiddle switching needles in the middle of the lace pattern with the dpns, though.
