Emile picks a winner

I asked Emile to help me pick the winner of the chocolates. It took a few moments for him to understand what was required.

Then a lightening-fast draw!

And the winner is: Lawre!

Thank you all so much for the great comments, you were really helpful, and there were some splendid ideas! And Lawre, please email me so I can get your address, and I'll pop them in the post right away.

As a reward for his hard work, Emile got a carrot, his favourite snack, and just about the only thing he'll do tricks for.

Sit. Down. Roll over! Good boy!

Your dog works hard for his carrots. We'd probably need 3 biscuits to get that performance out of Rosie.

He is too cute. But carrots? Never heard of that. I'll have to try it here :-)

I am so excited! What a smart, good dog you have!!! And I didn't even have to bribe him with a carrot either. We have been debating over putting up the tree, being older, no children at home, and the house being so small.. Our dog Vanny will just have to freak out over the tree because it is going up and it is getting chocolate!! Thank you so much!!

Emile loves carrots? Oh my, never heard that one before. I recently discovered my son feeding our dogs peanut butter straight from the tub. Urgh! I was struggling not to laugh though. He was smeering the peanut butter in their mouths and seeing them trying to eat it, is really funny. My dogs don't care much for vegetables...meat all the way!

sorry i deleted my previous comments... i posted like 3 and then i deleted too many and now what i wanted to say isn't here - krapi!
what i initially said was that i love it when animals do this! Usually when i can't make up my mind (yes im a libra wink wink) i let my dog pick what i top i should wear, card i should use, nailpolish i must wear, everything!! I let Tequilla do the picking! She can't do food though because then she just picks everything and well you get it ;)
