Shard Cards

This block was meant for printing on fabric, but the repeat looked a bit too much like slices of pizza. I'll need to carve a few more, different sizes and shapes, to mix it up a bit. But it works rather sweetly on cards:

Now in my shop, in packs of six, to be used as postcards, note cards, sorry-I-broke-your-favourite-teacup cards.

Jesse, I want to know how to cut lino so finely too. You're a whiz!

I love it! I think it looks beautiful on the cards. I´m in special awe with the strokes of shadow on the petals and the shiny light on the leaves. Love, love.

Just beautiful Jesse.
I love the shard too, it would look nice in my collection ;-)

you've tempted me to break a friend's teacup, just for the appropriateness of the sorry card i could give. :)

This is so awesome! I also am in awe that you can cut it with such fine detail. If there wasn't a border you could easily use it on fabric. You are a really talented artist!

I see what you mean about the pizza-slice connotation - those pesky triangles! - but the print looks brilliant.
How did your huge illustration job go?

I really love this block! It's funny that I saw this today. I was just going through old "inspiration" photos on my computer and was reminded that I wanted to explore embroidering from a photograph. This is kind of the block carving version of that, wouldn't you say? It's beautiful. I actually really like the block as an object.
