A ray of light peeks through

Letterpress cards are now in my shop, and for sale at The Book Lounge.

Apologies for the recent lack of posts. I had a 'mystery virus' (yes, that's what the doctor called it) that had me itching all over and putting food in the fridge instead of the oven. This coincided with a small attack of the why-bothers.

I know as well as anyone that the cure for the latter is a nice cup of tea, a warm bath, and a nap. Possibly accompanied by a good detective novel. But somehow it feels more adult to keep waddling on through the mental equivalent of slimy black mud, dragging out one slightly miserable day to a week or more of grumpy despair. All better now, but it's a funny kind of mind I choose to live in sometimes.

the cards are gorgeous! sorry to hear about your funk. sometimes i think "mystery" ailments are our bodies way of making us stop what we're doing and forcing us to rest...

My name for the why bothers is the blahs! And though I think its quite good to have the downs for the ups that follow, I'm very glad you are feeling better now :-)

Well put. It's easier to be kinder to oneself in retrospect, but during the low, you're right, for some reason we keep on pushing. Glad it's over :)

The letterpress cards are fabulous!

Your letterpress cards really are lovely! It's so cool that you have a great letterpress printer to collaborate with in CT - I'm sure you'll produce lots of amazing letterpress stuff together in the future :)

Sorry to hear you were struck down by a 'mystery virus' and the (dreaded!) why-bothers - I'm glad you're feeling better now.

The biodiversity garden in Greenpoint looks great. Are the cut-out/silhouette critters based on your designs? They're fab!
