My fabric from
Daisy Janie arrived today! This photo doesn't do it justice at all - the colours are more complex and of course you can't tell anything about how it feels, but believe me, it's lovely. I'm looking for patterns now: there's enough to make this
dress (without the collar, and with short sleeves), and I need a skirt too. But how on earth to decide which one for the skirt and which one for the dress?

They are gorgeous... i would use the circles for the skirt and the strong colors for the dress. Like that it would be a very suitty skirt, and a cute retro dress.
Can't wait to see the result... came go to the machine... ;)
They remind me some of my mums dresses...beautiful pop colour colections.
Thanks for sharing your loot and your kind words! I hear you on the color and hand. There have been so many times when I'm photographing or making a project that I'm desperate to convey what I'm really seeing and feeling... near impossible through the lens! Can't wait to see what you make!
Big print - dress, smaller print - skirt.
At least that's how I see it ;-)
Well just to confuse you ; ) I would say big print for skirt and smaller print for dress... but that's just me! ; ) Choices, choices! ; )

Stunnig fabric! And amazing pattern! I learnt as a kiddo to sew using Burda patterns. My carbon pattern paper was eventually so overused that I could barly made out the dots when I traced it.
They are great! I specially love the colors of the big print. I would use that one for a skirt and they other one for that dress that you chose.
Beuatiful fabric, Jesse. Apparently one must always use the darker colours for the skirt and the lighter for tops. Not that I follow rules...and I know you don't either. But I can see a skirt with the yummy brown and blue fabric!
i can't believe what i am seeing... i have seen the second fabric here at Yaaba market(am in west africa) i was so much in love with that but the seller didn't budge a bit from the said price... later till now i regret not picking it up then.... so lucky you..:)
J'adore... ce mélange de couleurs est superbe...
